Taxiën

De motoren worden ingeschakeld en we taxiën langs de vertrekhal naar de startbaan.

Taxiing

The engines are switched on and we taxiing to the runway along the departure hall.

Startbaan

Het geronk en de snelheid nemen toe en dan zijn we los van de grond.

Runway

The roar and speed increase and then we are off the ground.

Opstijgen

De enorme energie die hiermee gepaard gaat, is duidelijk voelbaar. 

Take off

The enormous energy that goes with it is clearly tangible.

Klimmen

Met een bocht klimmen we omhoog en zien de luchthaven kleiner worden. Dat is altijd leuk om te zien.

Climbing

With a bend we climb up and see the airport get smaller. That's always nice to see.

In de lucht

Het kleurrijke gebied verdwijnt langzaam uit het zicht en dan vliegen we boven de wolken.

In flight

The colorful area slowly disappears from sight and then we fly above the clouds.

Besneeuwde Bergtoppen

Door wolkenflarden zien we besneeuwde bergtoppen schitteren in het maanlicht..

Snowy Mountain Peaks

Through fragments of clouds we see snowy mountain peaks shining in the moonlight.

De Maan

Het lijkt alsof de maan heel dichtbij komt.

The Moon

It seems as if the moon comes very close.

Oceaan

De opspattende schuimkoppen van de oceaan zijn duidelijk zichtbaar. Wellicht is er storm op komst.

Ocean

The splashing foam heads of the ocean are clearly visible. There may be a storm coming.

Orkaan

En of het stormt! 
Door turbulentie zien we allerlei kleuren.

Hurricane

And whether it's storming! 
Because of turbulence we see all kinds of colors.

Zonsopgang

Na een lichte slaap en enigszins duizelig van de turbulentie genieten we van een spectaculaire zonsopgang.

Sunrise

After a light sleep and a bit dizzy from the  turbulence we enjoy a spectacular sunrise.

Landbouwvelden

We vliegen weer boven land. Dat betekent dat we bijna gaan landen.

Agricultural

We fly over land again. This means that we are almost going to land.

Bossen

De bossen komen dichterbij. De landing is ingezet.

Forests

The forests are getting closer. The landing has been deployed.

De Rode Kerk

De Rode Kerk die we spotten, is het herkenningspunt in het zakencentrum.

The Red Church

The Red Church we spot is the landmark in the business center.

Bedrijvigheid

Het is een zonnige dag. We genieten van de bedrijvigheid beneden ons.

Activity

It‘s a sunny day. We enjoy the activity below us.

Fata Morgana

Dan vliegen we langs onze Hollandse kust en weten we dat we er bijna zijn. De lucht spiegelt prachtig, maar we denken waarschijnlijk dat wij het alleen op deze manier zien, omdat de kleuren van de Amazone nog steeds in ons systeem zitten.

Then we fly along our Dutch coast and know that we are almost there. The sky mirrors beautifully, but we probably think we only see it this way because the colors of the Amazon are still in our system.

Cirkelen 

Vervolgens draaien we rondjes om het vliegveld totdat er plek is om te landen.

Circle

After that we turn around the airport until there is place to land.

Geland!

En dan zijn we geland en kunnen we naar het treinstation voor het laatste stukje van onze reis.

Landed!

And then we landed and can get to the train station for the last part of our trip.

Voordat de trein komt, maken we een foto van het architectonisch station en de rails.

Polderlandschap

Onderweg genieten we van het polderlandschap dat ons doet beseffen dat we nu echt weer in ons land zijn.

Along the way we enjoy the polder landscape that makes us realize that we are now really in our country.

 De Kromme

De rit over De Kromme brug brengt ons naar het Centraal Station van onze woonplaats.

The Curvy

The ride over The Curvy bridge takes us to the Main Station of our hometown.
